It is very important to vote in a federal election. Here in Canada, we are very lucky to have a form of democracy. It means that we have a say in who decides our futures. In Voting we are deciding our futures, the futures of the people who will come after us, and the future of Canada. We need to exercise our ability to vote for our MPs. If we do not, we could be surrendering to a government that may eventually become a dictatorship if things came to an extreme in the generations to come. Do not become to worried, as a dictatorship would be very unlikely in Canada, however, I feel the need to ask you, if we do not exercise our privilege to vote, then what's the point of allowing citizens to vote?
A few more reasons why it is important to vote:
This is your chance to have a say in important issues that affect your community.

Every vote counts. A 3% difference between two parties is enough to cost one of them their seat in parliament.
