The Liberal Party of Canada (Liberals) was founded in 1867. They first became official opposition in 1873, when they proceeded to form government for the first time. The Liberals formed their first majority government in 1993, with Jean Chrétien as prime minister, and formed a majority government as well in the following two elections. The current Liberal leader is Justin Trudeau. He is 43 years old, which makes him the youngest leader running for prime minister. He is the son of the former prime minister Pierre Trudeau, and has been the Liberal's leader since 2013. |

- Spending an extra 2 million dollars per year on science spending in national parks to pinpoint stresses and problems early on.

- Working with each province to lower the cost of prescription drugs.

- Review the Trans Pacific Partnership agreement and consult Canadians that would be affected by it to make sure it is in the best interest of the Canadian economy.
- Cancelling the recent decision to increase the minimum age for Old Age Security.
- Investing an extra 100 million dollars in clean technology procedures.
- Creating a Canadian Child Benefit for up to five hundred and thirty three dollars per month, per child.
- Drop small business taxes from 11 to 9%.

- Making affordable housing for seniors a priority by providing 125 million dollars per year to developers and land loads to renovate and build rental units in the form of tax incentives.
